Great Lives Rememebered looks back at the biggest celebrities whose lives, and deaths, were chronicled in PEOPLE during the Magazine's first 36 years. There are stars who shaped what we think about movies (Audrey Hepburn, Paul Newman, Marlon Brando, John Wayne); musical legends (Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson); cultural icons (Jackie Kennedy); contributors to the arts (Rudolf Nureyev, Norman Mailer, Julia Child); and TV greats from every generation (Buffalo Bob Smith, Johnny Carson, Farrah Fawcett).Great Lives' subjects may have been dramatically different, but they all have at least two things in common: they kept us watching, and their contributions still echo through the culture to this day.
